We provide better understanding of mineral deposits: mineralised interception drilling, structural controls of mineralisation, and geochemical sampling for spatial distribution of elements. Our results provide valuable information for future exploration and resource estimation activities.
Geocoresources has highly experienced personnel in exploration and mining with multicommodity experience including, gold, base metals, iron ore, diamonds, coal, and platinum group elements. With these inhouse skills we are capable of designing, implementation and managing drilling programs using main drilling methodologies such as Rotary Air Blast, Aricore, Reverse Circulation and Diamond Drilling. Adequate drilling, drill spacing, and quality of the fundamental data are the first steps to properly characterise the geology and mineralisation controls. We provide recommendations on the adequate number of drillholes for different mineralization styles to produce good density datasets to aid geological modelling and metallurgical test work. We also provide cross sectional interpretation during drilling, detailed geological and or geotechnical logging, sampling mineralized intercepts and material type attributes, QAQC, data entry and validation. These are essential steps for understanding structural controls of mineralisation, future exploration, resource estimation activities of mineral deposits and de-risk potential problems.
Geocoresources specialises determining structural control of different styles of mineralisation. This is done through detailed surface mapping, inpit mapping and underground mapping. This enables the identification of major geological structures, faults, folds and shear zones within deposits and their relationship with mineralisation. Structural model including faulting, folding and structural orientations from drill core impact the deposit at the mining scale. There structural analysis provides an input into geotechnical stability and ground support parameters that are essential in mine design and providing timely advice to the customers on related geological risk.
Geocoresources is experienced in conducting extensive geochemical sampling programs to determine the spatial distribution of different elements and the geochemical controls on the mineralization. This includes preparation of regolith maps, field checking to determine representative sampling mediums and selection of appropriate sample method such as collection of rock, soil, and stream sediment samples from various locations within the target areas. Furthermore, analysis and presentation of geochemical data sets that generated. The data is used to construct maps of the spatial distribution of the elements, and to determine the geochemical controls on the mineralization and their relationships with geological structural controls. The findings are useful for guiding future exploration activities and providing timely advice on exploration strategies for effective exploration targeting.
